ALMA MATER

There’s a spot I’ll always cherish, down in sunny Tennessee,
Where the warmth of school day friendships means so much to me,
Where the boys are brave and stalwart and the girl’s exceeding fair,
O, the halls of Old Whitehaven, you will find my heart right there.

Alma Mater, Alma Mater, through the years your light will shine
‘Til it spreads a path of glory, flaming o’er the sands of time.

There’s a dream I’ll always carry of those halls I hold so dear,
Of the roof that spreads above me, of those voices kind and clear,
High She stands in reputation, spreading arms of welcome wide,
Giving of Her wisdom freely to all those who will abide.
